Delete Your Account & Data

This page explains how to request deletion of your StatMD account (a product of PharmaByMD) and the data associated with it, what we delete, and what we may keep.

How to request deletion

StatMD accounts are deleted on request. To delete your account and its data:

1. Email pharmacologybymd@gmail.com from the email address on your StatMD account.
2. Use the subject line “Delete my account”.
3. (Optional) tell us if you only want specific sessions or data removed rather than the whole account.

We verify that the request comes from the account owner and then delete the account. Deletion is completed within 30 days, and we confirm by email when it's done.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

• Your account details — email address, display name and hashed password;
• Sessions, quizzes and questions you created, and any saved question library;
• Answers and results tied to your account, and any class rosters / roll numbers you added;
• Any images or media you uploaded, and your profile picture.

What we may keep, and for how long

• Financial records — invoices and payment records that we are legally required to retain for tax and accounting purposes may be kept for up to 8 years, as required by law. These are minimised and not used for any other purpose.
• Backups — residual copies may remain in our encrypted backups and are purged in the normal backup rotation within 30 days.
• Anonymised data — aggregate statistics that no longer identify you (for example, total questions answered) may be retained.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Signed in, you can delete individual sessions and questions yourself, which removes their responses and results. You can also email us at pharmacologybymd@gmail.com to request removal of specific data.

Students & participants

Participants answer anonymously and without an account. Where a host turned on roll numbers or student IDs, that information belongs to the host and their institution — please contact your host, or email us and we will route the request to them.
